The Position

Becker Landscape is looking for a CDL driver to join our commercial construction department. Under the direction of the Superintendent, our CDL driver will be responsible for safely and successfully transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites. 



- Perform a variety of duties in the operation of the Commercial Construction Department, such as hauling, snowplowing, dumping, etc.

-May plan route to insure most economical use of time and equipment.

-Obtain commercial construction materials from storage yard and haul to job site.

-Assist with job site tasks as needed; dig holes and trenches, plant trees and shrubs, operate heavy equipment.

-Operate skid steers & heavy equipment, mowers, and other small equipment and tools to assist equipment loading and unloading time.

-Plow snow and salt roads according to departmental policy.

-Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor; clean equipment.

-Assist in the installing and maintenance of traffic control devices.

-Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.


Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the office, or moderately loud when in the field.



Travel is primarily local during the business day.


Education, Experience, & Skills


-1 year of relevant experience

-Valid CDL License



-Clean driving record

-Demonstrate experience with heavy equipment as well as trucks.
